Emergency Dental Care and Problem Assessments
Same-day & pre-booked appointments for dental pain, broken teeth, swelling, and other urgent issues or concerning
From £60 (Registered Patients) | From £100 (New Patients)
Dental emergencies can happen unexpectedly—but not every dental concern needs same-day care. Whether you're in urgent pain or simply want timely advice for a new dental issue, we offer both emergency and problem assessment appointments.
Our goal is always the same: to assess your issue thoroughly, provide immediate guidance, relieve discomfort where possible, and plan any necessary treatment.

Who Is It For?
You may need an Emergency Appointment if you have:
✔ Severe toothache or dental pain
✔ Facial or gum swelling
✔ Knocked-out or broken teeth
✔ Bleeding from the mouth
✔ Trauma to the teeth or jaw
✔ Non-healing Ulcers
✔ Signs of infection (e.g., abscess)
You may prefer a Pre-Booked Assessment & Advice Appointment if you have:
✔ A non-urgent concern like a chipped filling, loose crown, or mild discomfort
✔ A dental problem that’s worrying you but isn’t causing major symptoms yet
✔ A request for professional advice about a newly noticed issue
We offer appointments to both existing patients and walk-ins/new patients. If you're unsure whether your situation is urgent, call us and our trained team will help assess your needs.
How It Works
We aim to get you out of pain and address the most pressing part of your dental concern on the same day.
✔ Full assessment and advice by a qualified dentist
✔ Immediate treatment provided where possible
✔ Tailored treatment planning if further care is needed
✔ Transparent explanation of any costs involved
Both emergency and pre-booked assessments carry the same fees. Treatment, if needed, is charged separately.
Fees & Payment
-
Registered Private Patients: £60 for advice and assessment
-
New Patients / Walk-Ins: £100 for advice and assessment
A £50 deposit is required for new patient bookings.
If treatment is needed (e.g., a filling, extraction), this will incur additional charges.
What to Expect
The Emergency Process
-
Call & Triage – Our reception team will ask a few questions to understand the nature and urgency of your problem.
-
Appointment & Assessment – You’ll be seen by a dentist for an examination and advice. If possible, treatment will be started immediately.
-
Follow-Up (if needed) – Some problems may require a return visit to complete full treatment.
When Will I Be Seen?
We reserve dedicated emergency appointments every day at 12:30pm, specifically for patients in urgent need.
In addition:
• We may also have short-notice availability due to occasional cancellations.
• Appointment allocation is always based on clinical urgency, as assessed during your triage call:
-
Before 11:00am – Existing patients (private and NHS) are prioritised
-
After 11:00am – All patients are triaged and seen based on need and availability
If we cannot offer a same-day appointment, we’ll find the next best available time
Aftercare & Monitoring
• Our goal is to relieve your symptoms and stabilise the issue as a priority.
• In many cases, follow-up appointments are needed to complete long-term treatment.
• You’ll receive clear advice from your dentist about what to do next and how to manage any symptoms at home.
• If you have any questions or your symptoms change after your visit, our team is here to help—just give us a call.
• Regular dental check-ups help prevent future emergencies and keep your smile healthy long-term.
